The Angling Industry is being urged to pledge financial support for the next three years to increase the number of people going fishing, to secure the sport’s future.
Those attending the ATA’s General Meeting on 11th Dec 08 were rallied by chairman Sean O’Driscoll with a call to arms to bring more people into the sport. Sean used his chairman’s report to launch an angling participation initiative, asking for financial pledges from members to back schemes like National Fishing Week and Take A Friend Fishing.
