A DVD documentary has been released featuring the life of Jim Hardy, the last remaining family member to work for the renowned tackle firm.

The Lost World of Mr Hardy focuses on the 135-year journey of the Hardy brand and the story of the family business.

It was Jim’s grandfather and great uncle who, in 1872, opened a small shop selling fishing tackle in Alnwick and the DVD documents their skill, devotion and innovative marketing strategies.

It features exclusive footage of Jim Hardy being interviewed, plus original photographs taken at the Hardy factory and of the Hardy family.
